The ever expanding business now operates from two offices, offering monitoring and support services to our clients located in both the Hunter Valley and Gunnedah regions of NSW. Our team members are either based at our Singleton or Gunnedah offices, providing laboratory, reporting or on-site monitoring services to the mining industry, or are contracted to our clients as on-site environmental officers or support staff. Managing Director Colin is a highly experienced environmental scientist with over 30 years of expertise in providing environmental management and monitoring services, regulatory advice, land rehabilitation, and compliance reviews for a diverse range of clients. He possesses extensive knowledge of the environmental legislation that applies to coal mining, hard rock mining and quarrying operations and industries in NSW and Australia. Colin’s skills include designing and implementing environmental compliance monitoring programs for mining and civil construction projects in NSW, as well as managing all aspects of environmental management for these sites. He is considered the industry expert in designing, manufacturing, installing, and operating a complete range of environmental monitoring equipment. General Manager Nathan is an experienced professional in the environmental industry with 16 years of hands-on experience. He has worked his way up the career ladder from a graduate level to Senior Management positions in New South Wales and Queensland. With a degree in Environmental Science from the University of Newcastle and a Masters in Mining Engineering from UNSW, Nathan has developed a strong foundation of technical knowledge and skills. He has also completed qualifications through the Australian Institute of Company Directors, which have enhanced his leadership and strategic decision-making abilities. Nathan is passionate about finding innovative solutions that can help his clients meet their compliance obligations and improve their environmental performance. With his detailed understanding of the monitoring required for baseline studies and project execution, he has a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes. Director Technology Chris is an experienced environmental scientist with over 16 years of experience in the industry. He has a strong background in monitoring, management, and regulatory planning, and has worked extensively throughout New South Wales and interstate. Chris joined CBE in 2016, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained through his work with various employers since 2006. One of Chris’s key strengths is his ability to apply real-time environmental monitoring systems to provide clients with technology products that are relevant and useful in their industry. He is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental science and technology, and works closely with his clients to ensure that they have access to the most innovative and effective solutions available. Throughout his career, Chris has developed a reputation for his attention to detail, his analytical skills, and his ability to find solutions to problems facing clients. Technology Manager With over 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Conrad serves as the Technology Manager at CBased. He holds qualifications in Information Technology and Electronics, demonstrating a robust foundation in both fields. Conrad’s expertise encompasses all aspects of real-time environmental monitoring, where he has been instrumental in designing and commissioning a variety of systems across Australia over the past 20 years. His comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience have positioned him as a key player in the advancement of innovative technological solutions for environmental monitoring. Conrad is committed to leveraging cutting-edge technology to create user friendly efficient systems that address the environmental monitoring challenges faced by our clients. Operations Coordinator Leigh is a highly skilled professional with an impressive background scheduling and business management. With over a decade of experience, she has developed a deep understanding of scheduling work to meet specific outcomes, effectively allocating resources, and fostering strong communication with clients. In her role, Leigh serves as a key collaborator, coordinating the day-to-day operations of our field team to ensure that all field work is completed in accordance with our clients’ scope of work. Environmental Monitoring Projects Coordinator Marni Blake is an accomplished environmental scientist with a Masters degree in Environmental Science. She has a strong background in the service-based sector, emphasizing high-level service and client communication. In her previous role at CBased, Marni excelled in the reporting team, understanding the crucial connection between planning for monitoring, understanding data and effective reporting. Her expertise and commitment make her a valuable asset in understanding complex environmental monitoring programs to ensure the correct linking between the scoping, quotation execution phases. HSEQ Coordinator Louise is a highly experienced environmental scientist with over 25 years of experience in the public sector, including the Department of Defence and Local Government. With her extensive background in environmental science, Louise is well-equipped to manage complex environmental projects and identify potential risks before they become major issues. She has a deep understanding of environmental regulations and compliance requirements. In addition to her expertise in environmental science, Louise also holds qualifications in Work Health and Safety (WHS). This knowledge has allowed her to ensure that CBased Environmental WHS systems are of the highest standard, and that we are in compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines. Our Field Services team is comprised of a highly skilled group of professionals, led by our experienced Field Services Supervisors. Michael, Steve, Dave and Greg boast more than 25 years of cumulative experience in environmental monitoring. As Field Services Supervisors, they are responsible for ensuring that all sampling is completed in strict adherence to required methodologies and the client’s scope of work. Their expertise in this area is second to none, and they are committed to delivering results that meet and exceed our clients’ expectations. In addition to their supervisory duties, our Field Services Supervisors play a critical role in training and mentoring our Field Technicians. By leveraging their extensive knowledge and experience, they help to ensure that our team is consistently following best practices and adhering to the highest standards of quality and safety.
