- Assessment of baseline groundwater quality
- Identifying changes in groundwater levels and quality over time
- Assessing land use impacts
- Identifying pollutants in the aquifer and monitoring their movement or decomposition
CBased Environmental undertakes groundwater monitoring for a variety of clients across New South Wales.
Groundwater monitoring is critical for groundwater management, and may be undertaken for a variety of reasons including:
CBased Environmental uses various methods to suit specific groundwater bores and recharge characteristics.
Sampling methods we provide include:
- low flow pumping
- manual purging
- high flow pumping with 12v and 240v electric pumps
- gas (nitrogen) driven low and high flow pumps
- no flow sampling (using hydrasleeves and discreet interval sampling equipment).
Groundwater level monitoring is also undertaken manually or with electronic loggers. Cbased can download and process data from all common groundwater loggers and vibrating wire piezometers (VWPs).
Groundwater samples are collected by our trained and experienced Field Technicians for analysis in the field or, if required, collection and transfer of samples for analysis by a NATA accredited laboratory.
